The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has been present in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia with lecturers since 1987/88. In 2004, DAAD information centers were opened in all three countries. Since July 1, 2021, the DAAD Regional Office in Tbilisi has been responsible for the South Caucasus.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) opened information centers in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia in 2004. In 2021, these were merged into the DAAD Regional Office based in Tbilisi, which is responsible for the South Caucasus.
