The DAAD has been present in Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia with lecturers since 1987/88. In 2021, the Tbilisi regional office was opened, responsible for South Caucasus.
The DAAD Georgia invites applications for the position of a full-time temporary staff member, to commence on 1 September 2026 and to run until June 2027 (at the latest).

პროფესორი ლალი ქეცბა-ხუნდაძე ათწლეულების განმავლობაში უძღვებოდა გერმანისტიკის კათედრას, ინარჩუნებდა რა სწავლების უმაღლეს თეორიულ და პრაქტიკულ სტანდარტს. მისი ხელმძღვანელობით გერმანისტიკის მიმართულებაზე არაერთი მნიშვნელოვანი ნაბიჯი გადაიდგა, დამყარდა მჭიდრო საერთაშორისო კავშირები და აღიზარდა პროფესიონალების მთელი თაობა, რომლებიც დღეს წარმატებით მოღვაწეობენ როგორც საქართველოში, ისე მის ფარგლებს გარეთ.

🎚️ Mit großem Bedauern haben wir im Mai vom Tod der georgischen Germanistin, Doktorin der Philologie und ehemaligen Leiterin des Lehrstuhls für Germanistik an der Staatlichen Iwane Dschawachischwili Universität, Lali Ketsba-Khundadze, erfahren.
Professorin Ketsba-Khundadze leitete den Lehrstuhl für Germanistik über Jahrzehnte hinweg und wahrte dabei stets die höchsten theoretischen und praktischen Standards der Lehre. Unter ihrer Führung wurden bedeutende Schritte in der Entwicklung der Germanistik unternommen, enge internationale Beziehungen aufgebaut und eine ganze Generation von Fachkräften ausgebildet, die heute sowohl in Georgien als auch darüber hinaus erfolgreich tätig sind.
Sie hat maßgeblich zur Vertiefung der Zusammenarbeit mit deutschsprachigen Partneruniversitäten und -organisationen (darunter dem DAAD) beigetragen.

📕10 ივნისს, გერმანიის აკადემიური გაცვლის სამსახურის რეგიონულმა ოფისმა DAAD-ისა და რუსთაველი-DAAD-ის ერთობლივი კვლევითი პროგრამების სტიპენდიატებს უმასპინძლა. ღონისძიება ProCreditBank - ის სათავო ოფისში გაიმართა. სტიპენდიატებს სიტყვით მიმართეს გერმანიის ფედერაციული რესპუბლიკის ელჩმა საქართველოში, პეტერ ფიშერმა, DAAD-ის რეგიონული ოფისის ხელმძღვანელმა, ქ.-ნმა სილვია შმიდმა და DAAD-ის ალუმნამ პროფ. ირინა დარჩიამ.
2026-2027 წლისთვის DAAD-მა 86 სტუდენტი, დოქტორანტი და მკვლევარი დააფინანსა. აქედან 30 სტიპენდია რუსთაველი-DAAD-ის ერთობლივი კვლევითი პროგრამის ფარგლებში გაიცა.

📕Am 10. Juni fand die Stipendienverleihung des Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienstes (DAAD) statt. Eingeladen waren 86 Studierende, Forschende und Postdocs, die in diesem Jahr ein DAAD- oder ein Rustaveli-DAAD-Stipendium (30) erhalten haben und bald zu Studien- oder Forschungszwecken nach Deutschland reisen werden. Die Veranstaltung fand in der Zentrale der ProCredit Bank statt. Die Stipendiatinnen wurden vom deutschen Botschafter in Georgien, Peter Fischer, von der Leiterin der DAAD-Regionalstelle, Silvia Schmid, sowie von der DAAD-Alumna Prof. Irina Darchia begrüßt.
🇩🇪 7 ივნისს, ბათუმის შოთა რუსთაველის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტმა გოეთეს ინსტიტუტისა და გერმანიის საელჩოს მიერ ორგანიზებულ ღონისძიებას ,,გერმანული ენის დღე დიდებისა და პატარებისთვის" უმასპინძლა.
DAAD-ის საგარეო წარმომადგენლობის ხელმძღვანელმა, ქ.-ნმა სილვია შმიდმა მოსწავლეებისა და სტუდენტებისთვის საინფორმაციო შეხვედრები გამართა, რომლებზეც სტიპენდიებისა და გერმანიაში სწავლის შესაძლებლობების შესახებ ისაუბრა.
საქართველოში მომუშავე DAAD-ის ლექტორებმა კი სტუდენტებს ვორქშოპები შესთავაზეს.
